The NedBank Learnership program 2016-2017

Nedbank aims with their learnership program to assist in growing the economy by providing skilled workers, to the workforce of South Africa. They make more than 200 learnerships available yearly for talented candidates. Their candidates come from all walks of life and different communities throughout South Africa. They provide a wide field of career options for dedicated learners to learn and gain hands-on knowledge of their chosen field of employment.

What Does the Netbank Learnership Program Offer?

With a learnership from Nedbank candidates can look at a variety of fields. Most of their learnership opportunities run over a two year period and includes not only banking careers.

Costs Covered by the Nedbank Learnership

Selected candidates will receive a monthly allowance during the term of their learnership contract. Nedbank does not offer accommodation, meals or transport. Candidates will also gain both practical and theoretical training.


Candidates will be required to sign a learnership contract for the term of the learnership. This term will depend on the field of study. To be considered for a learnership, candidates must adhere to all stipulations as set out by Nedbank.

Basic requirements:

  • Candidates must hold a valid Grade 12 / Matric certificate
  • Candidates must have passed with a Level 4 minimum for English and Mathematics
  • Candidates must be South African citizens
  • Candidates must hold a valid ID document
  • Candidates must not have any bad debt or credit rating
  • Candidates must not have any criminal record
  • Candidates must be willing to relocate if the learnership position is in another province

Candidates with disabilities are encouraged to apply, as well as candidates from disadvantaged backgrounds. All certification and documentation will be verified for authentication. Candidates who make the short list will be contacted and may be asked to attend an interview.

Once you have created your profile login and start your search for open learnerships. Candidates can also make use of their mailing program which will send notification of programs as they open.

Please ensure all documentation is certified and accompanies the application. Late applications, applications without required documentation and incomplete applications will not be considered. Candidates must also please ensure that they add the name of the learnership field on their application.
